Kids Launch The Darndest Magazines of the Day: So apparently precocious style rookie Tavi Gevinson (who, you may enjoy being reminded, is only 14 years old) is starting a magazine with Jane Pratt, the founding editor of defunct cult teen magazine Sassy.
“Of course, it won’t be Sassy (or the rebirth of Sassy, or Sassy 2.0) and nor do we want it to be,” Gevinson writes on her blog. “For one, you can’t try to recreate something that good. For another, while I can read old issues of Sassy and relate, the world has changed a bit in the past 15 or so years, and that whole Internet thing happened, and this world calls for something different.”
Not-Sassy will have a “‘for the people, by the people’ kinda vibe,” Gevinson elaborates. “We want to find the best possible group of people for this project, and a wide range of ages, styles, etc.” That means you! Submission-resumes are currently being received through November 19th at MagazineSubmissionsAreFun@gmail.com.
“Exciting, right?”
[tsr.]

I thought I would help spread the word about this wonderfulness!

Weeeeeeeeeee.

Um, wait. What?
brb, writing my heart out.
Tavi, are you the one seeing all the submissions? Please don’t make fun of me on Tumblr once you’ve seen my piece and know all my secrets.
**retracts the drawbridge of my emotional intimacy**
**inspects moat for trespassers**

Ah! No judging here! And yes, I will be reading all the submissions.

Me right now:

I can’t even tell you how excited I am. THIS IS AMAZING. Get it grrrl.
